Deborah Steinberg

Deborah advocates for state and federal policies to improve access to comprehensive and equitable substance use disorder and mental health care in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. She leads the Legal Action Center’s Medicare Addiction Parity Project and the Parity for All initiative, and serves as a consumer representative to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Previously, Deborah worked at Health Law Advocates and the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission. She has a B.A. from Vassar College, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and is pursuing an MPH at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Bloomberg Fellow in Addiction and Overdose.
