Brian Sims

Brian Sims is a person in long term recovery from Substance Misuse and Co-Occurring Disorders acquired while serving his country during the campaigns and operations in support of the Global War on Terrorism as a US Army Infantryman. He is also a suicide and homelessness survivor. He later served as a FEMA Professional Emergency Manager deploying nearly a dozen times since 2012. Brian now serves his community as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Certified Event Interventionist, is the National Director of the RCO program Project: REBIRTH that serves Veterans and First Responders, and is the current Executive Director of Miami Recovery Project RCO.
