Wendy Wade
wendy wade, LPCC and CADC, conducted educational support groups with Children of Parents with Addiction (COAS) in the 1980s when the field began, then later in the children’s program at the betty ford center in the 2000s. She taught and was principal in elementary schools. She has worked with children and families in community mental health clinics for many years. She was counselor in inpatient treatment. She volunteered as weekend camp counselor bi-monthly for 4 years at Camp Mariposa for COAS. She has trained professionals about COAS and adult children of addiction (ACOAs). She is professor in ma in counseling program, teaching and lead teacher in addiction counseling.
