Mary Beth Collins brings over 30 years of communications experience, 14 years of professional experience in nonprofit leadership and a lifetime of experience as a child impacted by parental alcoholism to her current role as the Director of Programs for the National Association for Children of Addiction – NACoA. She is committed to raising awareness about the impact of intergenerational trauma on the family brought on by addiction and its related impact on health. She promotes strategies for family healing through programmatic support, educational materials, and managing social media channels & advocacy campaigns, including the international awareness campaign: COA Awareness Week. She manages curriculum sales and training for the national whole-family, trauma-informed recovery program Celebrating Families!TM and the children’s educational support group intervention The Children’s Program Kit. She also works with NACoA’s international affiliate network to carry the message of hope and healing to diverse communities around the world. Mary Beth has enjoyed a diverse career founded in a love of children and a passion to improve support and services by additionally working in the autism, disability, and childhood cancer communities. Mary Beth has two adult sons and lives in Bel Air, MD.
