Lionel Oglesby

Lionel Oglesby (he/him) is the Equity Officer at the Legal Action Center, a public interest law and policy organization that fights discrimination, builds health equity, and restores opportunity for people with conviction records, substance use disorders (SUD), and HIV or AIDS. As Equity Officer, Lionel is responsible for developing and implementing principles and processes that promote racial justice and equity at the Legal Action Center, as well as capacity-building for the staff-at-large. Guided by a framework rooted in change management and data analysis, Lionel supports Legal Action Center in fulfilling its commitment to racial justice and equity by identifying and addressing systemic and institutional barriers internally and externally. Lionel is also a 2024 Shriver Center Racial Justice Institute Fellow.
