Ken Shatzkes

Ken Shatzkes, PhD is Program Director of the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts (FORE). He leads FORE’s grantmaking and programmatic activities and helps to identify new funding opportunities with a focus on patient-centered, evidence-based solutions addressing the nation’s opioid crisis. Dr. Shatzkes has over 15 years of experience in biomedical research as well as policy experience at the state and federal level. In 2017, he served as Science Policy Advisor in the Office of the New Jersey Governor, leading efforts to combat the opioid crisis and working on the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis.
