Claudia Delfin is a native El Paso trans woman who works as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist. She is currently working for Project Vida and works with individuals with substance use. Claudia supports these individuals by her live-in experience in Recovery. She has experience in the outreach setting in the El Paso and Juarez, MIX area since 2012. Claudia is a trans advocate and is a board member for El Paso Sun City Pride. She has worked for agencies Aliviane Inc and Project Encuentro as an outreach worker. In 2015 she was awarded the Dan B Rawlings Award for Outreach worker of the year in the state of Texas. She also has certifications as a Reentry Peer Specialist and Foundations of counseling and testing for HIV. Claudia’s loves her work because her live-in experience as being homeless and having substance use she keeps that empathy to help.
