Allison Herrst
Allison Herrst is a person in long-term recovery who found her purpose in helping others as a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. She worked with a pilot program in Michigan that provides support to individuals through a local hospital. The program quickly grew, and Allison became supervisor, where she held this position for over 4 years. In 2023, Allison obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University. She focused her studies on substance use and mental health policy, leadership, and recovery support. After graduation, Allison helped to launch Recovery Action Network of Michigan (RANMI), a Recovery Community Organization, in which she is currently the Executive Director.
