Alida Kistler

I am a dedicated advocate for recovery with 13 years of long-term recovery. Fueled by my personal journey, I turned my challenges with addiction into a passion for helping others find their path to healing. Originally from Denver, Colorado, I moved to Illinois in 2002 for new beginnings. In 2022, I earned my certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist, combining lived experience with professional expertise. At Amare, a Recovery Community Organization, I support others in building their recovery stories. Proud parent of three and grandparent of eight, my family brings endless joy and inspiration. They remind me every day of the strength and love that recovery has made possible.
